About this festival
In 2026, Palmela recreates a fictional story inspired by King Afonso IV and the Order of Santiago.
Context
Castelo de Palmela and the historic centre host a medieval re-enactment with trade, entertainment and themed experiences. The 2026 theme, “Palmela, D. Afonso IV e a Ordem de Santiago”, is a fictional narrative created for the fair.
What to expect
- Food, music, games and other amusements.
- Economic participants assessed for the historical accuracy of their products, decoration and costumes.
- The venue runs between Castelo de Palmela, Avenida dos Cavaleiros de Santiago e Espada and Alameda D. Nuno Álvares Pereira.

- Until 31 August: €4/day or €8/pass; from 1 September: €5/day or €10/pass.
- Under-12s: free admission with a compulsory wristband.
