About this festival
Festas de Lisboa celebrates Santo António with arraiais, Marchas Populares and traditions across its neighbourhoods.
Context
June brings street festivities, sardines, basil plants, Santo António thrones and outdoor programming. The Marchas Populares go down Avenida da Liberdade on the eve of Santo António.
The Casamentos de Santo António began in 1958 with a social purpose and were resumed by the Municipality in 1997.
